It is not needed for what you’re trying to do IIRC Desktop video is in order for you to capture/encode video you want to edit on your computer. In my experience, the UltraStudio mini has been mostly plug and play with Macs and I’ve never had to even install drivers for it to show up as an external camera in softwares such as wirecast or ProPresenter. Has anyone had experience with this, or give me any other troubleshooting steps to try?Ĭouple things that come to my mind that might be helpful in troubleshooting.įirst, what camera are you using and are you positive you have it outputting via its SDI or HDMI output? I would test to verify by testing from the camera to a display and make sure you’re getting output from the camera I don't get anything on my output preview in ProPresenter. I select the UltraStudio Mini Recorder and set the mode to 1080p30. Then I go over to ProPresenter 6, and try to enable it there. Should there be anything in the Output Format column?
It says it's giving me 1080p30, which is fine. I've allowed BlackMagic to operate in my privacy and security settings. I've downloaded the latest versions of Desktop Video and converter drivers from BlackMagic's support page (which is really weird to navigate by the way). That outputs Thunderbolt 2, which I convert to Thunderbolt 3 via an adapter bought recently from Apple. I'm trying to use the Live Video feature in ProPresenter 6 (on an IMac) with a camera that goes HDMI out of it into a BlackMagic UltraStudio Mini Recorder.
